This CDC report as reported on by News 5 Cleveland, was true 7 years ago and even more true today in 2024.
Of all the black women murders we report on here at Horrendous Crimes, 99.9% is by an intimate partner or ex-partner. The other .1% is by someone the woman was looking to date, someone who was told βno, not interestedβ and could not take no for an answer, or a jealous fake βfriendβ taking out her friend.
Dishaye Stevenson, for example, was happy to finally meet a man she thought was the love of her life. She married him shortly after his 5 year prison stint and was looking forward to a long, happy life with her husband and 17 year old daughter. But he had other plans. He seemed to have enjoyed his time in prison and was itching to return. She got a new home so he would have a nice place to come home from prison to, and she was extremely happy to go and pick him up from prison. She bought him expensive clothes, jewelry, took him on expensive vacations, wined, dined, and even gave him $10000 cash for his birthday. But what did he do? He refused to show her any gratitude or return her kindness with kindness, and she got tired of always giving and getting nothing in return, so she decided their relationship was not working and told him she wanted out. By this time, he was already co-dependent on her and could not exist without her β in his mind. So he decided if he couldnβt continue to have her and keep benefitting from her greatness, no one else would. And he invited her to meet up with him, which she hesitantly did, and he put a bullet in her chest before throwing her out his car on the street of Dallas Texas like trash – after just about 2 years married.
As her sister Jasmine said, βShe did everything for him, everythingβ. And that was the mistake she made. She was a successful business woman, and like of lot of black women, felt empowered to be able to share their possessions with their man, in the hopes they will be appreciative and make an effort to reciprocate. However, men are meant to be the providers and protecters, they are not meant to be provided for or to be protected. So if you assume this role in the relationship, just know that he does not appreciate it and will not ever view you as a man should view a wife or life partner.
Simone Campbell-Collymore was ecstatic she finally found her forever man in Omar Best Collymore, but after 7 years married and two kids, he decided he would carry out his signature plan. And that is to have her take out huge insurance policy naming him the beneficiary, and then having her murdered for said money β just like he did a decade prior, in Florida USA and got away with it. He hired hitmen in Jamaica to carry out the hit, and after communicating with them constantly helping them to plot her murder by finding out her daily plans and reporting it back to them, they were finally successful after weeks of planning. They ambushed and gunned her down at her gate minutes after she spoke with her husband Omar, and authorities later found out Omar was home at the time of her murder and the main hitman was the first person he called after he heard the shots fired at the gate. Simone trusted him with a capital T, and could never imagine him doing anything even remotely close to taking her life. But she didnβt know the real Omar. And who can really know anyone except for what they choose to reveal to us!?
And Sade Robinson was just a 19 year old young woman, looking out to find the right partner, when she went on a date with a man she met online. After communicating for a while, she thought he was interesting and wanted to meet in person, so she went on the date in a public space, only to be possibly drugged, and ended up at his house where he killed and dismembered her before scattering her body parts throughout the City of Milwaukee Wisconsin. And the worst part of all this is that an FBI informant knew of the plan to murder Sade and actually went to Maxwell Andersonβs house and saw him preparing his basement for her murder weeks prior, covering all the walls, floor and ceiling with construction plastic using duct tape to secure it in place, and he was allowed to follow through. And because of this, Sadeβs blood was not found in the apartment basement by authorities as he carefully took down the plastic and discard it as well with all her blood in it. And to date, Sade Robinsonβs head has still not been found. All she did was went on a date, where her death was premeditated, and she had no idea.
It is very clear that there are dark forces at play in this world, and since women in general and black women in particular are the main victims of these horrendous crimes, it is imperative that women begin to protect themselves β themselves. And they can do so by first learning self-defense before it is needed, just do it because youβre a woman and most vulnerable. Then getting a gun and gun training β even if you are not in a relationship, donβt wait to get in one and things possibly start getting bad, to get one. And then if you are in a relationship, at the first sign of a red flag or anything that goes against your values and standards, end it. And if he threatens or become aggressive with you, get yourself a restraining order, and find out how you can legally off him in your State – if he violates the restraining order. And if he violates the order, do not hesitate to take him out. And donβt pull your gun if you are not going to use it. He will not be afraid to use his β or yours β on you.
Men, unlike women, have the ability to totally isolate and discard the love they had for you, and render you absolutely nothing to them within seconds. It is important to remember this, so you do not get in your loving feelings about how good you both were together or heβs your childβs father, or allow him to manipulate you in that moment because 9 times out of 10, all he wants to do is get a hold of your gun to take you out.
As the report says, when leaving a domestic violence relationship, the risk of being murdered increases by 75%. Thatβs a whole lot to take a chance on! Don’t!
