This is great news! This Supreme Court ruling will undoubtedly help lots of domestic violence abuse victims of these horrendous crimes as well as potential domestic abuse women, as many abusive men will comply.
However, as former Miami-Dade County Court Judge Jeff Swartz said in a sit down session with CNN, “A bullet can’t be stopped by a piece of paper…”

This is something I 100% agree with and advocate for here and on my Youtube Channel, and encourage women to do – if staying alive is their goal. And that is to first take any and all threats directed at them seriously. Then arm themselves and get the necessary gun training. Next find out the rules governing the law of how to legally off someone who breaks a restraining order in their State, and then get the restraining order – in that order! And be ready to use it to protect themselves – at all times.
A restraining order will cover them – after legally offing the perpetrator, but a restraining order alone does not protect anyone, and there are hundreds of cases to prove this.
The Supreme Court got this one right, but women must also be proactive in protecting themselves – themselves.
If a man is intent on killing his partner or ex-partner, the government taking away his license gun or issuing him a stay away order in the form of a piece of paper, will not stop him from getting access to an illegal, unlicensed gun and carrying out his act. He will use whatever tool or method to kill the person he is intent on killing, and this is why it’s up to the woman to protect herself and remain alive. When these men are enraged and intent on killing their partner or ex-partner, they don’t even care if they die in the process, and many times end up killing themselves – subsequently.
And BTW, anyone can experience domestic violence – regardless of gender, class, race, geography etc – but my main focus is on women because women are disproportionately affected.
